The Growatt SPF-12K does not appear to be stackable and for the EG4-18KPV, I don't see the off grid diagram in the manual where you can stack two of these units but only for the on grid u uses. Is it designed to run two units in parallel for OFF GRID applications and if so, which wiring diagram should be used?

For Off-Grid operation the wiring would be much simpler. The AC Grid input would not be used and the AC Load output from the inverter(s) would be be connected to a breaker panel. If a back-up generator was added it would simply be wired to the Gen AC Input on the inverter.

Any inverter that is stackable when connected to the grid will operate off-grid. Isn't that basically what happens when there a grid outage? There is no AC input so the inverter(s) support the load using the batteries.
