Strange surges, no high needs devices connected?

As I typed that, the symptom sounds like a short of some kind. What's the best way to troubleshoot this?

The highest load I have is a small refrigerator that consumes essentially nothing (37 watts?). I have a laptop and two Yamaha HS8s. That's really about it.

The inverter's fan comes on for a split second when this spike happens.

Is it happening when the fridge compressor kicks on?

Check your connection on the inverter and battery.

A loose connection can also cause that.
