Suggestions for whole house off-grid system?

I haven't made my mind up regarding ground mounts, I was thinking of either building my racks from PT or purchasing a ground mount kit. Any suggestions?

I built my ground mount DIY. Use the iron ridge calculator. It's awesome and easy to follow. Iron ridge kit all the way.

Could you elaborate on reasons why I'd be installing these panels at 90 degrees? My first inclination is taking advantage of the winter sun angle as well as the snow pile ups in the winter. Am I at least partially correct?? lol

Verticle mounting provides more output

Anyone else see that youtube video about vertical placement of PV panels providing slightly more power than one facing the sun? It seems unexpected, right? Has anyone given it a test? I wonder if the latitude and time of the year had an some weird effect on this measurement.

The big ones are heavy, closer to 300 lbs versus 100 lbs for the rack mount. So if you did need to send one back for warranty service a rack mount may be easier to handle/box/put on pallet.
