I am installing an all in 1 sungold power 6kw inverter...120/220 volt.
Looking in the owners manual I don't see what fuse/circuit breaker I should use.
Nothing is mentioned of the amperage.
I would be connecting it between my house breaker panel and the inverter.
I won't be using grid tie so I only need the breaker to run the charger in the inverter to recharge my battery bank when there isn't enough sunshine.
If anyone out there has the same inverter, what amperage breaker are you using

thanks!

I would be connecting it between my house breaker panel and the inverter.
So you are feeding the breaker panel from the inverter?
Is there a main breaker in the breaker panel? Split phase?

6000W / 240Vac = 25A add 25% above on each leg to prevent nuisance trips

From battery to inverter:
6000W / .85 efficiency / 40V cutoff? = 176A

The output of the inverter goes to a separate genrac transfer panel.
the transfer panel is wired so that I can run the house from the utility or the inverter.
There is no grid tie being used here and nothing is going back to the main house breaker box.
so each circuit is transferable separately to either the utility or the inverter.
However, the inverter is set up to charge battery bank from the utility if there is not enough sun.
So the circuit breaker would only be used for the charge function.
