let the forum as is. just entice members to donate. if done transparently, you'd get enough to cover the site's dues. just my opinion

So how many people donated? A progress bar to the goal would be nice?
I did it the first day the thing came up on the screen. It would be nice if the forum had a more elaborate donation system.

I did. Not much but every little bit adds up to a lot.

Definately some sort of Donate Here link that lets us kick in cash without having a paypal account.
