This thing looks rad. For auction now on batteryhookup. Unfortunate state of the cells and lacking details but just thought others might appreciate the ingenuity.

That is an interesting idea. I wonder what it was used for? At 360V I wonder if someone was trying to make an electric truck.

Interesting!

If I could get it talk to Sunny Boy Smart Energy (or Sunny Boy Storage), would be useful for my evil schemes.
50 Ah - that's pretty small. 18 kWh, relatively small. But would serve my purpose of handling most cycling, so 48V AGM house battery is kept at float.

Shipping estimates $800 to $2300 for San Jose.

If I did something mobile, I think I'd want a lighter chemistry. If fixed, heavy is OK.

1000 lbs. About the same as my AGM bank of same (gross) capacity, which doesn't have any support circuitry or enclosure.

Might have been an experiment for a service truck giving a quick emergency charge to a stranded BEV.

This would be fun, in the inverse, i.e. using this to rescue charge EVs on the road.
