Use one battery to charge another battery?

Is this possible and/or is it stupid?

Can I charge a portable 100Ah lifepo4 battery while driving my jeep using a dc-dc charger... then, when back at the campsite (boondocking), use that battery to add charge to the larger, hard mounted camping trailer lifepo4 battery, also using a dc-dc charger?

Yes you can. Whether a good idea or not, a personal choice. It’s a better idea if the small battery adds a meaningful amount of power to the larger one.

I saw someone do something similar to a trailer he lived out of, so a good idea for him.
