Hey, happy quarantine days.

I am building a system based on Will's '400w Solar Package w/ Alternator Charging' and made a plan but I want to check with those with more experience to make sure my wiring is right and sized correctly.

The only real change I can see is that I am only using 200w of solar instead of 400w. Do the panels still need to be in series? It should come under just under 25v limit for the Renogy DCC50s.

You only have 4awg negative leaving the battery... this limits the power feeding the bussbar to 50amps... the inverter will starve for power.

What is the ground point coming off the negative of the DCC50S? Is this what Renogy recommends? I'm used to seeing the chassis-ground connection made at the negative terminal of the battery or the main negative busbar.
