I currently have a Victron solar controller that I’m using in my RV to charge the batteries.

I’m planning on installing the Victron Multiplus 2000 inverter.

Will the inverter need to be on all the time in order for the solar system to charge the batteries?

Thanks!

No, the two can operate independently of each other.

There's a three position switch on the bottom side. Off, on, charge only. In charge only mode the inverter is off but charging (from grid). If you just want to charge from solar can turn the inverter off.

Brucey,
Thanks so much for the quick reply-exactly the information I was looking for!
