I have a question, I have wired my cabin 2 ways.
I have grid power and outlets and stuff but I have also ran a completely separate independent set of wires into most rooms for my solar. These wires are not connected to the grid in any way.
I want my solar and grid Independence and away from each other and I don’t want to accidentally backfeed the grid.
So if I use a inverter charger, and use the charger portion to help top off the batteries using grid power, if the grid goes down will it back feed the grid?

if the grid goes down will it back feed the grid?
Probably not.

You should post the brand and model number.

Most units are configured to disconnect from grid when the grid is off. Legal/code/NEC requirement. Knowing the model # etc will let people know how to answer.
