I know it's not related to this thread... I just finished reading One Second After, we are far from lost.
It's an eye opening book that I encourage anyone and everyone to read. I couldn't put it down, started yesterday evening and finished today.

The polls are manipulated to make it looks like Trumps numbers go up everytime he gets new charges or a new conviction.

Do the polls really matter?...

Look at how many people still wear masks in their cars alone.

Makes me sad seeing how easily people are manipulated.

The abortion issue and a little bit of cheating means democrats are a shoe-in for 2024. Biden will be re-elected.

One of the theories I have is that the protection for the Bidens is based on Ukraine .... and more specifically, the more than decade long CIA operation in Ukraine. The CIA has outed themselves ... Victoria Nuland has resigned ..... There is either going to be a peace deal or Russia is going to take Ukraine.
What would that mean for the Bidens? It doesn't go well for people who are no longer of use for the CIA.
Would that also mean the deep states incentive to "get Trump" would evaporate?
IDK .... I think a lot of surprising things are in store for us before November.

Read that book several years ago now when it first came out.
His daughter or someone in his family had Diabetes and had to get insulin and figure out how to keep it cool.

It’s a good book but not sure how hospitable people will be.

Chaos would ensue early on until people figured out their actions had consequences.

We are definitely better off now than in that book but not by much.

Lucifer’s Hammer is another good book and pretty accurate about how things would be.


The only good thing about that would be no way to control the masses.
No way to implement force on that big of a scale to make any difference.
Of course that mean no help either..

No one has threatened to send our country into authoritarianism and rejecting democracy as much as he. I will admit he's somewhat of a symptom as much of a cause, as all the people showing their true colors already had them. He just gave permission to let all that racism, phobias of any out group, misogyny to come be expressed freely (as frequent contributors to this thread have made abundantly clear.)

No one has broken apart as may families and friends as he has, in terms of radicalizing the right (you guys) and the left (me), to completely despise each other.
I hate you because you support someone so obviously bigoted, who shat on our constitution and used the presidency for personal gain, while cozying up to dictators and even coming out and saying "he would be a dictator on day 1"
