I know it's not related to this thread... I just finished reading One Second After, we are far from lost.
It's an eye opening book that I encourage anyone and everyone to read. I couldn't put it down, started yesterday evening and finished today.
Do the polls really matter?...
Makes me sad seeing how easily people are manipulated.
Maybe, but some event will happen and someone else will be shoved in...
He got his ideas from studies. I’ve read govt stuff like this long ago. We play an actual game of monopoly every day.
They play for keeps.
Ever wonder why military was afraid to shoot down those Chinese weather balloons?
they were probably not sure if those balloons - might be carrying emp or not. Think it was dumb to wait until they went across to the east coast. They were probably protecting silicon valley….or some shit we don’t know about …. as more valuable.
Most nukes are heavy but dedicated emp devices are supposedly lighter. Balloons were once considered best - most stealth delivery for emp. A rocket missile plane more easily tracked from a distance. Don’t have to worry about losing delivery plane - cruise missile or immediate retailation. Think of how we publicity treated those balloons…… ignorance is bliss. Lalalala lala

Forstchen based his research for
One Second After on the 2004 bipartisan Congressional study of the potential threat to the continental United States from an
EMP attack:
Report of the Commission to Assess the Threat to the United States from Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Attack. Drawing on this and other government and private studies, Forstchen explores in his novel what might happen in a "typical" American town in the wake of an attack with
electro-magnetic pulse (EMP) weapons.
[6] Forstchen has been invited to make presentations regarding the threat of EMP before members of Congress, and at
STRATCOM,
Sandia Labs, and
NASA.[

Most commercial aircraft were hardened…. Mostly as side effect of designing them to take lightening strikes. No bets on DEI BOEING now.
Some cars have better shielding now then older. Old diesel and old points ignited ice were the most reliable why military keep old style diesel vehicles. Most modern locomotives will be afu. So they won’t be pulling logistics. Some modern transfer trucks have went to electronic so….
In event of something bad figure car jacking would be one of first major crimes besides home invasions and looting. The cannibalism comes later. Communist love to starve ppl…. Look at Stalin and Holodomor or Mao Zedong but some small hat will convince everyone that hitler was worse. The communist think it is funny ppl eat other ppl. Also why zombie movies are so popular. Sadly ppl will turn on one another vs going after ppl that started all the shit. It will break down to race towards end …most easy - thing to recognize.
You can live ~30 days no food….about 3 days no water granted weaker each day. Ammo if try to engage will go quickly. Sheltering in place sounds good. Might work if ppl can pick back up on 19th century living as a group. Depends how Govt views your group too. In the military you identify any armed group as hostile unless identified otherwise. Ppl on the right thinking they can run up to military and fight along side them are in rude awakening. Local Areas will develop war chiefs maybe following a local sheriff or strong leader. Again ppl will need try to develop 19th century living including books and maps. Internet will go away like most devices. It won’t be there for references… no youtube.
Martial law would been better under Trump then Biden. Oh well…. Trump would not cross the Rubicon.
Ppl can make fun of arabs but they know to keep 19th century food stores and animals on the hoof. Chickens - Goats are good choices. Anyone taken a good look at Gaza …. The Israeli are starving them - destroyed their means to survive even 19th century style. . We killed ppl in Gaza - air dropping supplies a while back …. Funny we gave Israel billions of dollars but we are taking responsibility for Palestine ppl….spending more of our money that we borrowed. We are dumb as a stump.
