New to the forum, currently working on a critical circuit UPS for the house, and plan to add PV array next year some time once it is up and running. I experience a lot of brown outs, and short term power outages - maybe 30 minutes to 30 hours from history over the last 5 years. The brownouts killed at least one television already. I will be using street power to keep the battery charged to keep everything running, and gives me plenty of time to hook up the generator to keep the batteries charged if it is going to be a longer power outage.
I ordered the low frequency Growatt 6000T, split phase, transformer unit, it might be better if you have a larger 48V battery. You only need the one inverter as it outputs two 120V legs of phased AC so you can feed it into a standard sub panel, and you can feed your PV right into it so it will not need an additional MPPT controller for a 5KW or smaller array. I prefer the low frequency inverters vs the high frequency inverters for a number of reasons. This unit will also remote start and stop the Honda generator I have.
