Seplos Solar

Just as an FYI, someone has hacked Seplos and you should be very wary of emails.

I generate a unique email address for every company/website that asks for my email, that way I know who is hacked and/or selling my email to spammers. I recently received an email addressed to the email address ONLY given to Seplos. If you get something like this, DO NOT CLICK ANY LINKS.

That's strange, since they say they have been.
You might want to reconsider the habit of telling people what they have or haven't done.

Can you give your source for the hack please?
Adam Han indicated to me someone was using his name under a trick address of Selpos instead of Seplos, and to be wary of that. No other hack that I know of. I always use their Alibaba site chat for comms.

Well it is official! I received my long awaited 6.9Kwh masons today from Seplos! Looks like we are going to be getting our orders. On first look the batteries are brand spanking new with all matching voltages.
FedEx just called me to schedule delivery! Yay!

I received my Seplos batteries today, so the three USA orders I'm aware of have now been delivered. I ordered them on October 13 and they shipped on October 26. The shipping experience was a no-information black hole for 3 months, followed by a heads-up call from fedex yesterday.

Have you reviewed them yet? Do you know of they are UL certified?
Yes, they have arrived. They are not UL certified, but they are by far the most robust design and construction I have seen so far. The internal fuse should be upgraded, but the busbar based connections, and circuit board based cell connections are very nice.

The BMS is their own, and used in many other metal cabinet based batteries. The 135ah cells are new, and no bloat at all. Once the temp rises a bit here in NY, I will continue top balancing and then use the EBC-A40L tester to check capacity.
I have 4 of the Mason 6.9KW kits, so I also bought a Seplos JASSN busbar connector for Inverter connectivity. I also have two of the Seplos 200amp BMS's that I need to test with my 280ah 48V Lishen and CATL cells, which will replace my Heltec/JK BMS's if they can communicate with my MPP Solar LV6548 inverters.

I am hoping to keep my 280AH DIY batteries with the LV6548's at this house, and use the Mason batteries with the MPP Solar LVX6048WP's I will be buying to supplement my existing SMA grid tied inverters at my South Carolina house in Charleston.
Its still 28 degrees in my garage right now, so charging and testing is a no go for now.

I thought about getting 5 of these but if they aren't UL certified I can't use them for my AC coupled system

Not sure if this helps, bit it seems the cell manufacturers are UL certified. Not sure if that solves the issue for a complete battery.
Those are eve cells, according to seplos they manufacture the cells they use so im not sure if theirs are UL or not, the website has a lot of information but not the details I need, guess I will need to wait for two weeks while they are celebrating Chinese new year

good luck in finding any UL listed battery rackmount battery systems that wont break your bank account.
remember these system are sold globally, and the UL list/approval adds an enormous amount of cost, especially for non domestic suppliers
the way i see it, UL listing/approval is now mainly used for market protection

You are correct that the price is extremely high for the little UL stamp, makes it tough to build a system and stay legal though

or do like so many, do off-grid /grid- assisted.
the whole thing here is, especially in california, the UL listing was heavily pushed by power companies to ensure putting batteries in would become economically unviable
