I have the rasp pi too with solar assistant...the browser refreshes so you should not be getting old data. I use their wifi app too, not the easiest to setup. Here is mi idea on the changing parameters on its own. I am monitoring the system using Solar assistant on a Raspberry pi 4. I think that having multiple windows open, some of those could be showing sbu vs sub based on when I checked the system previously.
I will remove the Pi 4 and will report back.
I've just got an old laptop with the solarpower software and it seems to do that sort of thing too. Here is mi idea on the changing parameters on its own. It's worth the 55 dollar license fee. Have you not tried their wifi app? Install isn't too bad but quirky.I've just got an old laptop with the solarpower software and it seems to do that sort of thing too.
I need to get me a raspberry pi and try solar assistant...
Today I switched my Raspberry Pi 3B to Ethernet from wifi. Solar Assistant is much more stable. It's worth the 55 dollar license fee. Have you not tried their wifi app? Install isn't too bad but quirky.
Oh my solar assistant is perfect on wifi. It's Mpp's free wifi app that is quirky during first setup but it lets you make changes from your phone instead of hooking a laptop to it.Today I switched my Raspberry Pi 3B to Ethernet from wifi. Solar Assistant is much more stable.
It could work.I've tried, but the inverter is just out of reach of the wifi. I have no internet where the inverter is installed. I think it might be because of the metal building its installed in. IDK I thought about trying out one of those wifi range extenders... ???
If you don't have utility that should not matter. So I am calling it good for the fixes on the faults….. 3rd day no faults. The only weird thing is the change from SUB to SBU on its owns… it only happens like that SUB to SBU. Not sure why.
Dont pay to much attention to the battery %. My pack is not communicating with the inverters so that % has no real meaning.
???? You referring to the grid?If you don't have utility that should not matter.
yup. I'm saying if you don't hook up the grid you're good to go.???? You referring to the grid?
Given that the LVX6048 is not UL-listed/rated, I think many local grid utilities would disallow it for grid-tie systems anyway, though that's cold comfort for insulso1 and many others who want a boost from the grid. Me, I'm happy living out my life without touching California's diabolical PG&E.yup. I'm saying if you don't hook up the grid you're good to go.
Grid input for charging. My preference is to power the home with a generator if the batteries are dead. I will leave the charging to the sun. You guys are expecting too much from an AIO. Budget AIO's that is.
I know what you're saying but these things don't work with every generator. They don't test them in every situation, we are the beta testers I'm afraid. Not much we can do about it except do more research before we buy it. I admit I did not do enough research on these. I paid the price.Well, I didn't expect anything and didn't buy 'em. But if they can't parallel and charge from a generator they are worthless. If you can't expect that from them they shouldn't be on the market.
