Hi all,
I've just ordered 16x 280Ah Eve Class B cells from Amy Wan at Luyuan (1st October) and a Mason 280 Enclosure with 200A V16 BMS from Carl at Seplos (8th October) for delivery to Sydney, Australia.

Amy was excellent to deal with and the payment options she offered via Alibaba were extensive. I used the "Pay in AUD option which had a good exchange rate and was very simple". Luyuan are delivering in 2 drops of 8 cells each using the DAP Incoterms.

Carl was a little less easy to deal with, and I'm a little skeptical about some of the details he told me. For example, I asked for a Class T fuse. He told me he checked with the engineers and they said it comes with a Class T fuse. The marketing pictures do not show a Class T fuse, but lets see what transpires. Getting an acceptable delivery option from Seplos was a slow process, but we eventually got it nailed down to DDP (Tax Paid), so hopefully no customs getting in the way. The only payment option offered by Seplos was Paypal, where the exchange rate to AUD was US60c, with Paypal skimming 4-5% on the exchange.
Carl was helpful, and fixed the price in AUD for me at around 64c and I paid in AUD.

I intend to build two batteries, but with the unknowns in getting the Seplos box over the line, I have decided to build the first battery completely before ordering the parts for the second one. My system can easily adopt the second battery after its built.

I will post further details here about my experience with Luyuan and Seplos for this project.

12th October: Cells shipped today by Amy Wan.
13th October: Tracking numbers for the local (Sydney) courier received from Amy. No actual tracking will be happening until the goods clear customs in Australia.

Note: there was a 1 week delay due to Chinese National holiday.

Watching this thread as I ordered 16 x 280Ah EVE B cells from Amy at Luyuan a few weeks before you did. At the time they were waiting on a new wholesale delivery which delayed my order, so I suspect we'll be receiving cells from the same batch. I'll post the results of a QR code lookup for the cells when I receive them. I only have simple testing equipment, but I'll detail what I can in terms of cell performance figures too.

Carl from Seplos said the box would be shipped in 15 days, Now at day #16. Nothing heard about a shipping date, will start chasing soon.

Cells are in-transit.

Hi, did you have to ask for the v16 version BMS with the kit or does it come with all the 280 kits now? Thanks!

I did ask for V16 specifically, and was told that V16 is the only version they. Are shipping now.

Shipping update: I decided to order a second BMS by airfreight and did that on the 28th October. It was dispatched on 31st October. The Mason Box kit was also dispatched on 31st October by sea freight.

Sep 20 - paid for 3 150A BMSes. Oct 10 the salesperson from Seplos marked them as shipped. Since then there was no update with the provided tracking number.

UPS said that the package is not yet shipped and only a label has been created. Seplos stated today that they are clearing customs. 23 days express air freight and the package has still not left Asia.

My cells that are sea freight and that are ordered 2 days before the BMS will arrive faster. I've received a package from Hong Kong for 7 days by air. I'm starting to dislike Seplos due to the shipping issues. Back then they didn't have the V16 even.

@brum that is disappointing. I didn't order through Alibaba. Good to know that refund process works (mostly)!

One of the reasons I ordered the second BMS by air-freight was to mitigate against delays in the box kit delivery.

Edit: My second BMS arrived in 14 days from payment to front door. US$58 air freight by FedEx. Initial inspection looks good, but have not fired it up yet.

My cells from Luyuan arrived this morning, total time in transit was 53 days. They look to be genuine EVE with the clear "B" marking on the QR labels, which is what I was expecting.
It might be a while before I have a chance to test them properly, but I'll post the results of an initial examination in the coming days.

I found that the shipment I received was for 8 of the 16 cells, Amy confirmed that this is expected so the below comments only apply to the half I have now. Not sure how far away the others are.

Visually the cells are pristine - not a scratch or smudge on any of them, and they're all reading within 0.002v of each other. Superficially they seem to be very high quality.

The remaining 8 cells were delivered today, I was a bit concerned as the Alibaba order closed automatically after 60 days, releasing funds to Luyuan before I'd received all the cells. Amy was quick to follow up though, and provided a shipping update.
64 days in transit with no additional customs charges or taxes. As before, all the cells are in perfect condition with no visible defect of any kind. All within 0.002v of each other.

Alibaba orders can be extended to keep the funds locked until you get your stuff. But even when they are marked as "completed" you have 30 days of warranty when you can open a dispute and request a refund.

25th November: All 16x cells arrived with no additional customs charges or fees whatsoever. Cells packed 2 to a box, superb packaging.
All cells in excellent condition and all showing voltages in the range 3.294V to 3.298V.

Delivery time from order payment was 56 days, but I ordered them at the start of the Chinese National Day holiday, so the order was delayed by a week due to that, meaning the real shipping time was less than 50 days.

So from me, its a big thumbs up for Amy Wan from Luyuan.

Hopefully the Seplos enclosure will turn up soon.
