Felicity Solar Lithium Batteries

Do note the writings on the pallet floor, they might mean something.
Will do, have to charge each battery individually to full capacity. Then wired up it in parallel and let the entire battery bank balanced itself before wiring up to the Deye 16K. This will prevent SOC run away, which I'm experiencing on the 5*200A battery bank now, where the Voltage across the bank is fairly close but the SOC computation not balanced. The factory engineer suggested the battery to be individually charged to full 100% SOC and cut off, wire all entire battery bank parallel and let it self balancing to resolved the SOC calculation not consistent.

1. BMS-Updater.exe --- Win app for Felicity BMS update
2. LPBF_G_V201_DEYE_20211025.s19 ---- BMS firmware with Pylon RS485 protocol support - Li-Bat type 12 for Deye/Sol-Ark Hybrid Inverters
3. Read the instruction in the cmd.txt on updating the OCX file before you even start the BMS-Updater.exe and the PDF file.

WARNING: Use it at your own risk and understand what you're doing. You may render your BMS "Brain dead". Your mileage may vary ?
Can you confirm the battery mode you have setup on the inverter, is it CAN or RS485 and any idea of speed ?
I did the update and can still read and write to the BMS with the EDMS software, but no luck reading from the batteries with anything else.

This is the cable that I crimp that wire the Battery to the Deye 8K RS485 BMS port.

Straight
1-2 (Inverter)

5-6 (Battery)

I use White Orange, Orange pair.

Below screen capture are how to configure the Battery BMS to communicate with the Deye Inverter in Closed loop RS485 communication. It's pretty straight forward. Give it a shot. Good luck ?

Set the Batt Capacity according to your setup. I've 200A*5 Battery = 1,000A Use the Max A Charge and Max A Discharge of your Deye/Sol-Ark Inverters Max value allow, use the Up/Down cursor key below the LCD to change the Value.

You can use the default in the following screen regardless of which Deye/Sol-Ark Inverter you use.

The "Lithium Mode = 12" (The Battery BMS RS485 protocol is implemented based Pylon Tech RS485 protocol) The BMS DOES NOT SUPPORT CAN "Lithium Mode = 1" period There is not need to configure the RS485 communication link baud rate (speed) as it will handshake and established a channel automatically.

After you configured based on the above pics of Battery setup screen, attached the RJ45 cable with Pin 1-2 into the RS485 of the Inverter and the 5-6 into the last battery in the chain of your entire bank. Give it a minute or two and then touch the Battery ICON on the LCD and it will show you the details of each battery in the array.

Hey bubba, the pictures are not showing, but the rest of the info is good. I am 99% certain I have the cable right, certainly on the battery end because I have an RS 485 adapter connected between the batteries and the computer and that all works just fine to EDMS, I just can't get the data into anything else at the moment.

Reposted the pics.

The RJ45 is your weakest link in the setup, just to make sure your pins are connected correctly, use a CAT6 cable tester that's easily be found on FleaBay or Amazon for 10~20 bucks. That will be your best assurance to eliminate the link problem.

Tacklife RJ45 Cabel Tester on FleaBay for $18.49 Very good deal for a Digital RJ45 cable tester, wire tracer and Multimeter for under 20 bucks.

Chat with Niko, the factory BMS engineer last night. EDMS is no longer supported and they don't use it themselves. Anyway, once you open the EDMS app, on the top Right, you need to move the slider icon to the Right to connect the RS 232 to the Battery BMS via they USB to serial single dongle. The app will freeze up for a few while it's establishing the communication channel with the BMS. After that, the screen will populate the Battery array in your system. It's sort of hit & miss, it takes a few connect to sync up all the 5 batteries that I have. I use the Inverter BMS screen and APK to monitor the Battery status.

Hello everyone,
Well i got the 48v 300ah version on the wheels, what can i say.... This company and their sellers are not honest with their claims.
- First of all the claimed 300ah capacity is not true
- Secondly grade A cells, 6000 cycles is also not true.
- 3rd they claim 200A max charge and discharge, with recommed 120A
> I pulled 277ah or 13.2kwh. discharged till 48v or 0%
> Cells absolutely do not look new, i see so much scuffing on them, while they have 276 277 written on them (i assume it means capacity)
> Bms is 100A rated, fuse 250A, and breaker 125Ax2 ganged up

I opened the case up because a balance wire got snapped during shipping.
I opened the case and saw that the bms wire running for the from battery terminals were on the side support brace, they couldve done this much better.
I contacted the seller and she does like she knows nothing. She says that the numbering on the batteries are the batch numbers, which could be true (if they tested at that capacity)

After checking your reviews abt the felicity 15kwh 48v 300ah, i'v changed my mind.
I am looking for a 15kw battery 6000 cycles with 95% DOD with BMS . what can u recommend ?

I contact with felicity factor and ask what the meaning "LPBF-s" no answer until now,. search the web so much with no result. All i get is that Cell b so i had my own conclusion about "f" and the "-s". (the factor sometimes say 3000c and sometimes 6000c FOR THE SAME MODEL NUMBER "LPBF-S" !!!!
so any body with a proofed answer?

Where did you read that LPBF-S has 6000c?
BTW Brand new CALB cells used in LPBA and LPBF models have ~ 3500 cycles

Have you had a chance to try out the BMS comm on your new roll arounds with the 16 kW?

Letting the entire Battery bank to balance itself. Waiting for Amazon to deliver Busbar, 2/0 battery cable and bunch of other parts that need to complete the install.

I didn't find Niko to be much help either. So you haven't tried the BMS to Deye 16 yet?

Not yet, as my current #2 cable from the Power Supply is not long enough to reach one end of the pack to the other end. The length of 7 battery is 107" almost 9 feet and my cable is 3 feet. Waiting for Amazon driver to show up.

It's always something. Very few things you can get next day here. But I was referring to the BMS comm with the inverter.

Everything will arrive Sunday, except for the distribution box. My current 5*200A battery pack are wired the 2 Parallel Deye 8K. Master 01's BMS and it works just fine.

See pics, I'm off-grid on the Parallel 8K, pulling almost 14KW. The Deye ROCKS ?

I had issues with the inverter importing power from the grid once the batteries finished charging. Deye got me an update to address this after about 6 weeks. I then did some fine tuning on my charging. The 12-12 pic is before the update. On the 4th I charged the batteries up on the grid.1-02-2023.jpg
