Personally I am looking for lower cost batteries (that are at least UL 1973 Certified) I can get to be approved in a municipally regulated solar install & that would arguably be covered by my home insurance...
In looking through various threads I wasn't able to find a listing of at least UL...
The ones I have seen referenced the most in #VanLife videos are ones in the Bluetti AC200 range (example 200max):

Also the Ecoflow Delta products (example Max) :

Both...
If you are going to spend $2,600 for a 9KW portable generator it may make more sense to spend $170 more ($2,770) for the Champion 8.5-KW Home Standby Generator which is designed to be integrated for standby use and already has an enclosure and what not...
After spending many hours of researching I am done going through the list that I have for at least now. If anyone wants a particular row updated and/or would like a row added for a UL Certified battery added please post the info needed to this thread including:
-The values/info for each...
The report for SOK's UL 1973 certification for their cost effective 48 Volt (51.2 Nominal) 100Ah, 5.12 kWh server rack battery has been released in draft form. Final version expected this month (October 2022).
The report & ETA are discussed in the web based owner's manual on page 1-4...
Hi everyone. New here and new to solar.
I am interested in using something like a Titan (or maybe dual-Titan 2.0s) to provide backup power to a smaller portion of my Texas home (master office/bedroom/bath/saferoom suite) for emergencies. Mainly powering LED lighting across the suite and...
One the youtube video I linked previously in this thread about the Champion I asked in the comments and got this response:
Question posed: "Scott, Have you successfully tied this 8.5KW to the Gen input of any of your Sol-Ark 12K installs? Have you been able to get the Sol-Ark 12K to...
Added EG4's LifePower4 Lithium Battery | 48V 100AH to the spreadsheet linked at the top.

Wouldn't 2 AC300s with 2 B300 on each be 12,288Wh total compared to 2 Delta-Pros with 7,200Wh (so approaching double Wh)?
Wouldn't 2 AC300+B300 ($3,599 each with 3072Wh each) be a more apt comparison to 2 Delta-Pros (also $3,599 each with 3600Wh each)?
Yeah my head is somewhat swimming trying to learn all this info...
Running a search against the www.GeneratorBible.com website for 240V, Low THD (<5%) and dual-fuel with a minimum output of 4KW Running Watts only results in 3 options (lowest cost being ~$1,500 or ~$1,200 on sale)...
cdnorth, I have been looking for something similar for awhile but have had no success finding what I was looking for either... After reviewing multiple threads with no success I started my own thread with my own list (leveraging what I could find in other threads)...
I just got going and...
fafrd, I could be wrong as I am fairly new to this but I believe many authorities would be looking on the batteries for UL 1973 "ANSI/CAN/UL Standard for Batteries for Use in Stationary, Vehicle Auxiliary Power and Light Electric Rail (LER) Applications" ...
Understood. As I alluded to above my goals are multifold and V2H was not my #1 priority & I just could not wait anymore for the perfect solution. Though not out of the box there are several options that could allow a Toyota Hybrid (especially a Prime Plug in Hybrid) to help your home in at...
Thanks for all the inputs. The reason for looking at Reflectix was to help with the insulation if I added active cooling/heating but agreed I would not want it to significantly increase the fire spreading chances. From the research I did I don't know if it is quite as fireproof as CBB but I...
If I pursued something like this I likely would be doing it with a somewhat older one off lease/warranty. Personally I wouldn't be planning on making powering my home from my vehicle battery a part of my daily routine (unless the vehicle was designed for that) but I would definitely like a safe...
Yeah I had read about it awhile back for groups of Tesla powerwall owners and focused mainly in a few states.
This thread seemed to discuss about individual owner Sol-Arks being able to export to grid but that link above was the first time I had seen Sol-Ark advertise it (for at least those 4...
In one of my previous posts above I am pretty sure I documented multiple possible options that were gasoline only (which I am not interested in and the OP indicated he also was not looking for)...
I also posted a dual fuel 240V at =<5%THD generator that was pretty close (~$1,200 on sale) but...
IP4, It sounds like your goals are similar to mine.
I am new to all the lingo and norms and what not but I think what you are looking for is called "Hybrid Solar (grid tied with battery backup)".
There are multiple Hybrid Inverter providers out there though if you are in the US and looking to...
I found an article saying they started in California and the first 3 markets also included New York and Texas.
The DFW zip I tried did not work and the New York, New York zip I tried did not work but 94114 for San Francisco did let me get to the ordering page (I said single family home with no...
No problem. Hopefully if I said anything incorrectly above some of the most knowlegeable folk on this forum will correct it.
The SolArks are higher priced than I was hoping but after learning more about UL listing and efficiencies (standby/idle and otherwise) and considering this solution is...
As discussed in this post & subsequent replies:
"I am not a solar expert but did my best to review the Spec Sheet & the User Guide & it to me it looks like it supports / recommends:
190A Charging/Discharging DC Current with Batteries (with 200A breaker);

Just received confirmation from Engineer775 on Youtube that the Champion Power Equipment 100199 8.5-kW Home Standby Generator (so far seen as low as $2,399) integrates well with the Sol-Ark 12K.
I asked the following question on one of his YouTube videos: "Scott, Have you successfully tied...
It does not require the Internet but it does require a local WiFi network to connect to (as far as I know it does not have an RJ45 Ethernet connection or RS232 or what not). There may be some other options that I am not aware of (maybe some device you could connect to it or something else) but...
@Javalord1 Please let us know if you get an inexpensive one working. I would like to get a cost effective propane one to send power to SolArk 12K to recharge the batteries.
Best case would be to support the wires for auto-start and what not but worst case I would not mind doing it manually in...
