Batteries are being overcharged by All-in-one Inverter

Another question. My inverter will randomly change to 50hz on its own when the generator is started but only occasionally. Ive taken reading and while yes it will start at 50 sometimes itll very quickly climb to 60hz yet the inverter wont switch back any idea how i can resolve that?

No idea besides maybe preloading the generator or tuning it?
It should go back if I'm interpreting the manual correctly.

According to the manual and the wonderful people at powmr it abesolutely should however itll stay at 50 and wont charge my batteries. Only occasionally
Not sure. I've only used my generator a couple times but had 0 issues with the SRNE besides a disconnect when the fridge compressor kicked on and overloaded my 5500W generator while charging at 95A, flipped to batteries flawlessly, I only noticed when the pitch of the generator changed.

Put more load on the inverter and see if it keeps “leaking” so aggressively to batts

That’s the only way I could stop mine was by loading it up more during peak hours
Really? Is this the typical behavior for PowMr inverters? Here in Thailand, some recommend them as one of the better options. If the inverter is overcharging the batteries on a consistent basis, small wonder the setups fail early. In fact, if the BMS takes the LiFePO4 battery offline because one or more cells has reached the limit, with the PV array still connected, I wonder if this might cause the controller to fail as well.

All the cells within each battery are within 0010mv and w bms or setting the settings will still lead to overcharging of batteries when used w solar. This Powmr has been a nightmare. Their tech support is awful. He continually told me to use the apl (or opposite cant remember rn) setting which would cause my inverter to only output at 50hz after i asked them why it randomly changes to 60 hz. Took months and tons of emails to get a response.

I think it’s rare. He’s over VOC on his array and it’s possibly a faulty unit. These are excellent units considering the price point

Im not positive im over voc or v at mppt. I live in san diego so the coldest it gets here is 40 and thats only at night. That puts my voc at 48.4. Ill agree im to close for comfort but their customer support is horrible which means ur kinda fd should u have any of the issues i had. I would never purchase this again

Did you get it off amazon? Start a return. If not, did you pay with credit card? Start a funds return through your CC. The credit card company will reach out to the business also and can add additional pressure on them to produce a solution. It is possible you've got a bad board. My first unit from SG with round screen (same pow unit youve got) had problems out of the box as well. I kept asking for a return and SG ignored until I contacted CC company, then SG offered to send me a replacement board. I declined and requested new unit. I paid the shipping to send it back and they sent me a new unit (second gen) which runs great.

@42OhmsPA is it possible he could disable comms then use Solar Assistant automation to set params for his charging and tame it down that way? It could be a good test regardless.

I absolutely think that would work so would this.
That's an SRNE ASF 10KW.
Forget communications.
Setting 08 to USER.
Setting 32 to SLA.
Use voltages mentioned above from others for your bulk and float. Leave equalization disabled, don't touch it.

Or connect to your BMS and alter the overly aggressive charging parameters.

I have over 2 MWh through my ASF with 1 random fault that hasn't came back. Contact SRNE directly for support if you need it.
