Breaker to din rail

I know this is a simple problem, and maybe I’m just not understanding how it mounts, but should a breaker slide back and forth on the din rail? I have tried three different ones and they all mount, but I would think they should stay in place? My don’t. They all slide back and forth and won’t lock into place. Is this just how they fit?

Sometimes they fit snugly and sometimes they don't.
It's usually due to the din rail manufacturing tolerances. Usually you can tweak (bend) the din rail a little to create a tighter fit. Or use a end stopper on both ends.

Thanks. I guess I’ll figure something out. I mean they work but I don’t like having them move around when I try to throw the switch. I’m using these breakers as a cutoff for my battery.

Use a din rail breaker box with a cover. The cover keeps them in place.

Well, you can put a 3rd breaker in and just not use it or use din rail stops.

Tims post about tweaking the rail doesn't cost anything...

3rd option is new box

FYI, these work perfectly on my Midnite Big Baby Box (linked above) where I had extra open space after I needed to move breakers to the center. Let us know if these (or a different one) work and what make/model your box is. The midnite breakers do have a clip to lock them in place, though, so the only thing these fillers do for me is cosmetic.
