There were a few recent posts and a thread by a deleted member, VoltPolice, that were quickly deleted.
I'm curious at to why, what rules were violated that made them vanish so quickly?
Not even a new home in the chit chat zone?

No one said anything?? That is quite telling...

I could be wrong, but I thought the thread was hawking a specific brand (like a vendor) while bashing another.

I am a moderator on another site, it has far less activity than this one. On occasion someone will join the form and quickly post link spam. If they are new, I look at their sign up info and on occasion I flag them as spam and they cease to exist.

I do the same thing on a few discord servers that I manage and/or own.
I always try to remove them emidiatly.

If it is the one I remember, the nature of the post and what it said was sufficiently harsh that hosting it might make forum owner liable for the statements in it. A very neutral factual statement with link to legal documents might have been viewed differently.

Many times, a member will start out posting seemingly good posts, than switch to spammy content, and get booted, taking all their posts out at the same time. Not familiar with the member in question, sorry.

I believe it was a battery related thread claiming fraud, danger, etc.
That would have been the one.
I went looking for more info, came back to post what I had found and the thread and member were gone; I made this thread out of some frustration over time 'wasted'.

The thread was a conspiracy, bashing Battery Evo and claiming that they are allegedly selling used batteries as new and likely sourcing them from a recycler that was at the same address.
It seemed he had no actual proof and was asking folks to look inside their batteries.
I think that's one of the rules here, don't make claims unless you have proof!

Do you have proof of that rule? lol

Perhaps this?

I reported one yesterday - new user - either a spam bot or an AI or the most polite person the planet - none of those have a place here.
