I’m about to install an EG4 ESS system comprised of two 18 Kpv inverters and six power pro outdoor batteries in a detatched concrete ‘garage’.

Some of the recent threads on fires and other anomalies have made me consider that it would be useful to have a fire detector with a normally closed contact, that would shut my system down in the event of fire, smoke, ionization, or over temperature.

Anyone has any recommendations on something like this, along with an appropriate power supply option? Obviously, there is 120/240 and 48 V DC available in the detached garage, but I would think there would also have to be some kind of battery back up in case the power failed just before the fire started.

Thanks!

Also, is there likely to be carbon monoxide released from a LFP battery fire?

I would imagine this type of system would be standalone and not in any way dependent of the power system.

A simple 12v battery and probably a single panel would cover you here.

Many choices in the marine world that are powered off 12VDC with relay output.
