Hello, budget constrains are driving me away from Lithium batteries, could you recomend a good AGM, I need 2 12v 100ah or one 24V 100ah preferable a company that delivers to EU.

I have allready emailed VMax.

Look around again for suppliers. Here in the US the cost of your basic Chins/Ampertime/Zooms is usually less than $100 than an AGM of the same Ah rating and provides double the watt hours. There should be something comparable out in your neck of the woods. Remember that with AGM you only get about 50% of discharge so your 100Ah 24v setup is really only a 50Ah 24v setup.

If you really need to save money, look at FLA/Leisure batteries. Those things out here run about $100USD for a 120Ah model.

The flooded batteries if treated well will last longer than AGMs in my opinion. Unless you need them for compliance with a regulation and/or don’t want venting batteries inside a vehicle or interior household/business space I’d seek flooded lead acid batteries before AGMs.

I would echo 12VI. I started out with Trojan T-105 batteries sitting in the living room. Never a single problem with outgassing. With AGMs, you pay more for a battery with a shorter life-span. In the real-world I found myself adding distilled water only every 2-3 months, so don't let people desuade you with warnings of the "weekly maintainance". Costco has 6V golf-carts now for 99$ in the US. Two would give you 210Ah at 12V. Does Costco have a presence in your country? I'm sure though there's an equivalent.

The ease and availability of Walmart drove my choice at the time but if I ever build a new bank those gc batteries are what I might do if I didn’t opt for expensive fla cells or lithium. For me lead acid let’s me keep them outside which wasn’t an initial driving goal but worked out to be beneficial.

Unfortunatly no Costco and no equivalent.

I emailed US Batery, thanks

I will toss my .02 cents worth in here and echo what others have said. AGM batteries make sense if you want zero maintenance or have restrictions to contend with but they won’t last as long. We use them at remote sites in the communications industry and generally replace them even 5-7 years. I’ve seen flooded batteries that were properly maintained still in service 20 years or more.

Thanks, any brands I could use?

Duracell AGM, 110AH at Sam's Club....Around $190 each ..I have two in my camping trailer going on 7 years and still perfect....And three in my Electric Conversion tractor going great after two years.....And one on a battery back up sump pump going on 11 years and still perfect. Simply can't be beat for the $$.....I want to convert to Li but these darn batteries simply won't die!

By chance I found a small provider that has 5 of this in stock https://rollsbattery.com/battery/6-fs-gc/ but I am a little disappointed at the life cycle at 50% discharge of about 1500, he is asking 250€ each.
You could try here https://www.tayna.co.uk/leisure-batteries/rolls/s290/
I have just bought 8 of these at a great price with quick delivery in the UK.

I know they deliver across Europe, but you would need to check shipping and any duties to pay now that the UK has decided not to be in the EU gang anymore!

am a little disappointed at the life cycle at 50% discharge of about 1500,
And two things:
- That is like 4 years of daily full cycle. Less depth daily should extend that.
- they likely won’t jump off a cliff at 4.2 years. Decent fla’s like these last for a number of years longer than that spec when treated well. 1500 is probably a round number reasonable claim for FYI and liability’s sake.
