Running 240 volt well pump with Delta Pro's???

I have been considering two Delta Pro's to run our well pump in an outage, or a Titan to just run our 120 items. I am wondering how well a pair of Delta Pro's could actually run a well pump? I won't have the funds to get the extra batteries for each.

Our pump is actually listed as 230 V and 5 Amps.

The other think I don't know is how long a well pump actually runs in a 24 hour day. Is it like a fridge where it has a small draw all the time, then kicks on?

Shouldn't be any draw (unless electronically controlled), unless running. How often it runs is different for each application.

The front of the pump controller may or may not have some gpm info . We used to write the pump depth , gpm etc on the inside of the box with a sharpie. The USGS says Americans avg daily use is 80-100 gallons per day. That seems like a lot. Total gallons daily ÷ pump gpm will give you run time. Not sure if they make a cheap flowmeter you could install on the well head and use that for a more accurate reading.

If you ration your water, during the outage.
It will run less.

Submerged pumps have a high starting surge. I measured the starting surge of my pump and it is 4X the running amperage. So, assuming your pump runs on 5A, assume it's starting surge is 20A. Don't think a Delta Pro can handle that.

I've tested my 2x Delta Pros running my water well on 240v and they handle it. Just a fyi.

Are your 2x delta pros you are running your pump with connected with the double voltage hub or the smart panel?
