Hi @Eddie_Lux,

After multiple attempts to get the firmware remotely updated, canhao.chen@luxpowertek.com did send FAAB-0D0D with instructions (attached below) for doing the update myself, but did include the link to the program used to perform the update. My 12k inverter S/N is 2352028138. Can you please verify that 0D0D is the correct update and tell me how I can go about getting the "remote update" program?

Hi @Dcuste
just checked with Canhao, he said his team has updated it for you for the latest version. Can you do a check and confirm it please?
Thank you

As a representative of Huayu New Energy for North America, we’ve sent you two emails by official email boxes but you never replied us after you read almost 10 times, so let me reply you here again:

1)Lawsuit: Huayu sued Lux Power because Huayu paid certification fees of UL1741 and IEEE1547 etc. for 8-12kW and Lux Power never proves that they just use our money properly(8-12kW are shown in the same ETL certificates), in this case, Huayu have the right to decide who have the right sell 8-12kW.

2) The current status of this legal dispute: So Lux Power cannot sell 8-12kW UL1741/IEEE1547 etc. Certified US models until the court judges if Lux Power can sell it to others legally.

3) What does Huayu want from this legal dispute: It’s funny you decide what we Huayu wants. Let me tell you clear here: 1) We’ll prove in the court that Lux Power embezzled Huayu’s certification fee without notice Huayu; 2) We’ll prove in the court all your marketing activities and sales activities in North America violate our agreement and it’s illegal; 3) We’ve stopped bought anything from Lux Power since Feb.17th of 2022 because we had found Lux Power cheated us.

4) What does Lux Power want from this legal dispute: Of course you want to stop working with Huayu due to the profits even by a way violating the agreement and take the risk to break the law, you can also do it to any partners in the future, whatever if they have signed an agreement with you or not.

5) “Are we confident that we can keep selling our own products in the US?” This funny question shows you are not confident at all. Sure you have the right to choose who you want to partner with, but you cannot violate the agreement we have already signed, right? How can you marry another man before you get a legal divorce certificate with your husband? So if you’re aware that you have already violated our agreement and you may pay the price in the court in near future, how can you take the risk to sell it everywhere? Do you think a company which ignores the agreement and other party’s benefit can win the dignity in the market? Do you think the independence of a company means they can violate any agreement they have signed?

6) It’s also funny to say “If it is proven that we made a mistake by signing an unfair agreement that harms our company, we are willing to pay for our mistake.” In case the agreement is unfair and you think it’s mistake to sign the agreement with Huayu, why you signed it? Do you think it’s fair to violate the agreement before the agreement is terminated? Do you think it’s fair to your “customers” in case you lose in the court and they’ll also lose after you?

I Don’t want to be rude but i really don’t care if its not about the device, if you want take legal action, please not here your misleading the topic..

They'll never stop. Maybe we need to create a separate thread titled "luxpower and Huaya's soap drama' I can't wait until the estranged uncle shows up and is killed in the subsequent episode.

If I buy an EG4 18K-pv-12-lv from signature solar and have problems with it and signature solar customer service is not helping can I contact Lux Power and get help? Or will I be directed back to signature solar for help that may be non existent?

I don't know about LuxPower but most places will rely on the distributor to handle since most are not designed to handle volume of support requests from end-users. If you are worried about ordering from them already why order from them then?

Signature Solar has an average hold time of 3 minutes and you will not have problems that take a while to resolve if connect to the web

We both have our names (reputation) on the product... It looks like EG4 received some criticism regarding the service.
It really involved a lot of effort for this product to come down to the ground, no one wants to screw it up with not the same level of service.
We also really understand very well EG4 is keen to deliver some obviously better products to their customers and enhance the service experience from there. Let's give it a try, but if something you don't feel well-supported, feel free to let Luxpower know. Luxpower won't pretend to be blind or deaf. THANK YOU

Buy it from SOK and you at least know that the phones will be answered .

Not sure if that's a yes or a no answer. Definitely a take a chance on it to see what happens answer. That that type of response instills no confidence in me that you will be there if your distributor is not.

Funny how we can read the same words and draw different conclusions. After stating his determination to make this product a success with good support, he literally said if you do run into a support problem with EG4/SS, “feel free to let Luxpower know. Luxpower won't pretend to be blind or deaf.” I read that as saying that LuxPower will stand behind its product; not sure how anyone could read it differently.

What's said on a forum is much harder to hold them to than what is said in the actual warranty documentation. What does that say about who provides what level of support? (disclaimer, I haven't looked)

"feel free to let Luxpower know" But what it doesn't say is they will actually do anything to help with the problem.
"Luxpower won't pretend to be blind or deaf.” They will acknowledge you have a problem but still don't say what they will actually do about it.
I'm not sure why those went into quote boxes.

If someone likes the LuxPower inverter but doesn’t want to deal with Signature, they can buy it from Current Connected or Adam Brewer or another distributor at the same price.
