When ever the water pump kicks in, 5hp hp it pulls about 1100watts, there is quick very brief dimin of the lights. I have the flexpower one outback system with a 3kw inverter can surge to 5.4kw.

Could this be a wire gauge issue? I am running 8 gauge from batteries to system about 8feet away. its 12 12v 100ah batteries. in 48v bank

It could be, but it could also just be the reaction time of the inverter to a big load being dumped on it.

the batteries are all wire together with 4 gauge, just wire tough to comeby me righht now.

Where you at? I could ship ya a few strands of 6 or 4... I have some 3 sitting around too...

thanks for the help but different country, Bahamas, Abaco specifiacly, its a pita to get stuff here, but doable, just going to have to beg my brother to get it in nassau and through it on the mail boat, then take ferry to pick it up in 3 days later :)

try asking electricians if they have any scrap chunks of wire... it’s where I get all my stuff.

You can also double (or triple) up on smaller gauge wire to be the equivalent of a larger gauge...the electrons don't care. :)

Wasnt sure wire worked like that. It just automatically flows into the one with least resistance then easing the load on them then
