Solar Assistant Wish list, Bugs and Issues.

I’m running the same version. Different setup may offer the battery voltage (shunt or battery/inverter data cable) that I don’t have. So the loss of grid and load data was after the inverter software update? Is the data coming up when you touch the inverter icon or charts page? I’m wondering if the inverter will let you try to reinstall the update. Maybe something didn’t completely install. Seems like you tried everything else.
No data charting.
It looks like the Load data for one output leg is not showing up. It’s ok on the 6000ex inverter display.

You sure you did not change the Inverter model in the settings?
Yeah. The inverter model is correct.

Are you using the micro USB port? Those can be finicky and have been known to fail. The RS232 port on the right with a cable from Signature Solar should work well. A cheap or wrong cable at the RS232 port could cause damage to the com of the inverter or SA. I had a problem on one of my LV6548’s and wouldn’t communicate with the SA. I disconnected the cable, restarted the inverter, THEN reconnected the cable and it was working.

No, I’m using the RS-232 cable.
My SA was previously working without issues prior to the firmware update.

Since you mentioned recently updating the firmware, I’m wondering if something changed in the firmware that stopped that data from being output so that SA can utilize it.

I wonder if anyone else has the same issue with the same version of the 6000 firmware?

I just received a reply from Solar Assistant and was advised to install the Beta version to resolve this issue.

I’ll install Beta once I’m approved and I’ll report back.

Update!

Everything has been resolved with Solar Assistant - 06/08/2023 Beta version.
That’s great!

Still makes me wonder if it was something in the 6000 firmware that had to be fixed in SA though.

That’s the only thing that’s holding me back from the Beta
If you leave the beta program, you will not be able to downgrade to the latest stable release. You have to wait for a stable release to be newer than your current beta release. To leave the beta program, select "leave beta".

Does anyone have any information on when the stable version will be released? I like the backup option and more overview of jkbms. I don't want to switch to the Beta version.

I’ve got two JK bms’s that are connected to the solar assistant. They work well and report well but I find myself always looking at the app to actually see the most important thing that’s not reported on SA…. The delta (cell volt diff). SA reports useless info like battery capacity (static) cycles and secondary battery temperature. The time you need to get the delta info is usually at or near full charge but if you’re not actually in the vicinity you have no idea what transpired at that event. I’m betting that the JK outputs the data that’s found in the app header, just WISH that SA would dump the forementioned data and add the “cell volt diff” value. At least I had delta on the Daly.
If SA really wanted to impress me they’d graph the delta in charts but I’d be happy just getting the data remotely.
How do i achieve this please?
How do i connect my Deye inverter and JK BMS to SA and HA?

Any update on when email alerts may be available?

My wish list; email alerts and show all cell voltages (when connected to BMS) rather than just high, low, average...

I asked for email monitoring in Jan 2022!
Between Victron Venus OS and Home Assistant i've got it covered now, but nicer to catch issues on the initial monitoring platform though

Contacted support today, as I didn't see a way to alter time of use times for Deye/Sunsynk inverters via MQTT (charging levels and other settings can be adjusted, but not the times unfortunately). Anyone got a workaround, perhaps via the WebSocket API?
