Signature Solar

We (CurrentConnected) are no longer directly shipping things from Signature Solar and are starting to stock the products in our Las Vegas warehouse. It was taking us too long to get information out of SS when we were drop-shipping and it was starting to make us look bad.

Chargeverters are in stock right now and ship immediately. Orders placed by 10AM PST ship same business day.

6000XPs, UL9540 PowerPros, 18kPV and all EG4-LL batteries coming down the pipeline, and when they arrive, they will ship from our facility within 1 business day.

Frankly, our warehouse and tech support personnel have quite a bit of spare bandwidth. Perhaps, by stocking these products in house we can help Signature Solar with their lead time and service issues.

Do you have a rough timeline on when CC will have the EG4 18kPV and PowerPro batteries stocked?

I’ll be buying some between now and the end of the year and would prefer to have a quicker handling time than what customers of SS are currently seeing. I've ordered from SS multiple times before and haven’t had any issues but don’t want my project delayed if I can avoid it.

We are hoping to be totally rolled out by the end of the year but I'm at the mercy of EG4. Frankly, if you ordered today from SS, you would get it quicker than through us today...

Shipping time is a huge issue. I am a diy guy, so ordering stuff and getting it shipped fast is necessary. I only have so many good weather days to install stuff. When I order stuff I want it shipped in 1 to 3 days max, that is the world we are in. So if now 10 days is normal, no thanks. A business should disclose this stuff at ordering time.

I ordered two chargeverters, and a inverter from SS. Order said partial ship/back. order. So I figured at least the inverter was shipping, but no, after over a week of waiting I had to ask what was going on. Got told the whole order was waiting on the chargeverters. Person had to get approval to send inverter separate. The finally did ship it a few days later. You can't keep treating customers like that and expect them to return.

Just a story from the customers side of your shipping issues.

I again had ordered some solar stuff (cabling) from Current Connected and had the FedEx label in my email by evening and tracking active next day. If you want reliable service order from them when you can.

SS can "fix" their issue if they simply are more transparent about expected shipping times. Having a website that displayed "live" stock status of products would solve that. It seems some stuff on SS website does list out of stock. I'm assuming someone is manually updating these and does not cover all products that may be out of stock like the chargeverter.

I have ordered 10 solar panels a Chargeverter and 2 Brightmount racks and all of my items arrived really fast the original Brightmount rack was back ordered in July I called got a response from an English speaking human in about 15 minutes. Was told they would be about another week and sure enough they shipped in the timeline I was told. My solar panels where bought during the free freight promo and they got here in about a week. I was a bit hesitant because of the forum but my experiences specifically with signature solar have been great!

I'm so glad you had this experience with us! This shows our hard work to improve our customer service and response time is working! Please don't hesitate to reach back out with any other questions or concerns in the future! We're here to help ☀️

Maybe I spent too much money with them to get a phone call. I never got a phone call about a shipping delay. I have spent many tens of thousands at SS. Hmmmm.

Absolutely not! I'm so sorry you're feeling this way. We are working on a solution to have updates on delays automatically sent out to customers as the delay happens, however this is still in the works and we are working diligently to address this manually for now. If you'd like to reach out to me with your name and order number at engagement@signaturesolar.com I can get you an update aswell! Being Thanksgiving today, I don't have access to the system to pull the information but I can get this for you tomorrow morning.

Jess get the fudge off this forum and go eat some turkey.
Happy Thanksgiving from a brit ?
? I appreciate the thoughts! My family and I are going to celebrate this weekend instead of today to ensure I'm able to be in town for the black Friday sale at Signature Solar. As I am also british..! I'm so very glad and willing to wait for the weekend to be able to be available for our customers during the holiday rush ?

Is the website malfunctioning? It is not letting me apply the $150 flat rate shipping option. Only gives me two options in the $260/$330 range

I've tried both with and without the "blackfriday" promotion

Let me know if my expectations are too rigid please. I ordered from Signature last Saturday, and was planning to install in two weeks over Thanksgiving. I didn't order any of the popular cheap components that seem to be in high demand right now; I got a Schneider Inverter bundle and a pallet of Canadian Solar panels. I used to work in a shipping department and that would have been a two-day pick and ship turn around for us max.

I emailed on Wednesday and haven't gotten a reply.
I called yesterday and sat on hold for 30 min before I hung up.
I saw a guy named Ben from a different thread and DM'ed him yesterday to try and avoid posting publicly.
I replied to another thread that had a Signature person active on it during business hours yesterday.

In your experience, should I cancel my order and go with someone else to try and get my stuff here in two weeks?

They are also charging me sales tax. Overkill didn't do that, neither did 18650 battery. I looked it up and Indiana is definitely exempt this year. I'd rather not go through the paperwork trying to recoup that.

I'm not upset (yet) and I'll be willing to interact peacefully with anyone from Signature that wants to weigh in here, I tried to work through every other channel before posting this but I'd rather not be in the dark about this. Signature may be the lowest price out there but $11,000 is still a lot of money for us.
Just to add my recent SS experience... I ordered $15k worth of stuff on 11/10. Received email that order was fulfilled on 11/11. Delivered on 11/17. This was the "$150 special shipping option." Sales tax did show up (in the cart) when I was ordering online but was removed on the payment page after my shipping state, which has no sales tax, was selected.

Ordered 6 LL batts, a rack, the 18kpv, a chargeverter and some other misc things. Everything was in stock apparently and shipped immediately. I wasn't expecting to get everything at once, so very pleasantly surprised. Arrived on a pallet in great condition. Shipping co moved pallet into my garage (THANK YOU, I don't lift 1,100 lbs easily!!). Everything was flawless. Was a little concerned with the battery rack...it was slightly off balance out of the box with one of the wheels not totally touching the ground (about 1/8" off) so it rocked a bit. After the batteries were added, the additional weight seated everything properly. Very pleased so far.

I just did a fake order of one 24V Lifepower4 battery, and was able to get both the "blackfriday" 5% discount plus the $150 flat shipping rate. It was not allowing this last week and Jess got it fixed. Maybe you could try again, the site might be a bit squirrelly today.

Noticed that the 48V Lifepower4 batt is now on backorder for a month. Glad I got mine when I did a couple weeks ago.

?? The feedback we strive for ?? @Cronix Thank you for taking the time to give your positive thoughts here ??

I'm starting to think these "positive experiences" aren't real.

8 days ago I was told part of my order was incorrectly labeled and was out of stock.

8 days ago I was given a tracking number for "economy freight" that had no carrier information and no website link.

Assuming this whole thing is incompetence and not a scam I'll post a summary update when it arrives on a new thread since this one has been hijacked so much.

No amount of cheerful "engagement" can undo how completely unprofessional my experience with Signature Solar has been.

Good morning @flpilgrim - I'm sorry you're feeling like this this morning. We truly are working diligently to keep our customers updated on these orders. I have sent you a DM. I would like to look into your order and see what's happened and ensure you get the information you need. The carrier is likely R+L. You should have been sent an email with this information but I can get the carrier confirmed for you and also find out what happened to the confirmation email in the first place.
