Midnite Solar Announced their new 10kw AIO at Intersolar Today

Looks like a great product, I expect Midnite will do quite well with it.

In looking at the spec sheet which @Halfcrazy posted, it looks great, with one minor exception. It's rated altitude is 2000m, and I am at 2500m. While 2000m will cover 95% of the folks out there, there are a few of us crazies that live up higher who would like to run one.

If you'd like to give it a test up at higher elevation, be glad to run it thru it's paces, if you'll send one my way ;).

Just throwing it out there but you could send one to me to evaluate. I really appreciate the American design and supported hybrid inverters. I currently sport the outback skybox and it is limited to 5kw so it’s hard to support a whole house with heat pumps and all but I really appreciate how it was design and built. Been looking at 18kpv more and more but it doesn’t really support ac coupling and frequency adjustment without using the gen port. I hope that is different in this unit.

I will put it out there, all these requests for an evaluation unit likely will fall on deaf ears.
They likely are looking for @Will Prowse level reviewers to put them through their paces... and post suitable viewed from membership levels.
I mean...
I am a fully licensed unlimited electrician...
I would happily install and review one.
Although, i have under 100 subscribers on my channel.
Channels like @HighTechLab and @Engineer775
@ElectricianU
@ambition strikes
And that level of exposure...

But hey...
Happy to be wrong.

Sub’d your channel

Meaning no slight to those that receive one of these AIO for review but I find reviews from folks that go out and buy a product, and then have to live with it, to be of greater value. People that do something for a living are also likely to avoid common errors and even overcome problems that less experienced folks might.

Once the reviews from Early Adopters of this new AIO become available it will have greater import.

We have no plans at the moment to exit the MN3024DIY and MN5048DIY they are decent little inverters for the price. We have a repair facility in house now and will offer support on these no worries.
How about the MN3548DIY I have for sale on here?
You tested one on UT. I would keep it if it had a broader voltage input.

Agreed. Would love to be wrong…

Ambition strikes??? Not on the same level as the others listed, lol. Ambition strikes has views, but not a technical review source at all. They had to have their system installed by others, lol.

It was coincidence that I was in their neck of the woods when they were ready for install. They never asked me to do it, I offered to stop by and meet them while I was already in town and next thing you know the screwdrivers, wrenches and wire strippers were flying.

Riley is no idiot. But their channel is not a How-to channel either; that's why I made the video on my channel covering the system from a technical standpoint.

The Intersolar show is over. Great acceptance of this new inverter. Although it will be difficult to come by one of these units free for an evaluation, any requests will not fall on deaf ears. We want people to review it and let the chips fall where they may. We aren't worried about bad reviews on this product.
Call or better yet e-mail me personally to see if we can't make a great deal for those that want to test, use, abuse this new inverter.
We expect to be done with all the hundred modifications to this inverter in a couple of months.

I have not yet taken the time to read all the threads here (got to catch a plane), but I did see something about the Skybox and AC coupling. The first units will be able to use the gen input for AC coupling. That same input can be programmed as a 60 amp output that gets programmed for disconnecting from your smart phone. In about 6 months there is a 50 amp programmable output that can also be used as an AC coupling input. so finally an AIO where you can have a utility, generator and AC coupling input all at once.

I noticed that no one who has an sma sunny island, or victron quattro has asked to review one. Hmm ?

Never said he was an idiot, but their site is not where you go to see a great review on something, they are more of an entertainment channel.

Is it though?

My grandpa had a saying, if it ain't broke, don't break it.
Your grandpa sounds like a wise man.

I know it’s odd, but for me it is fun. I like digging into systems and possibly testing things overlooked by others.

Ok I guess I can see how that can be fun. the idea of having to make those ac and DC connections again just for testing is not my idea of fun. Lol there would have to be a significant benefit for me to even consider changing.

Yeah. It’s a little different for me because I’m working on a test wall which is separate from my main system.

I wouldn’t replace my main system unless I found something spectacular and worth the full switch.
