Yes I have the provided lugs that came with my 600, but theres no way its big enough for 2 AWG, unless its just my novice crimping skills. Ill check and see if I can obtain the PST 1000 lugs.

The second pic is what the wire looks like after Ive connected and tightened maybe that will do. Its def not "jaws". Ive searched for these pin type lugs and there isnt much out there and I'm totally unfamiliar how they are actually applied for use. Any other suggestions?

Im putting together my 400w system pretty much like Will Ps blue print. I have a Victron MPPT 100/50 SmartSolar and the manual states to mount vertically with terminals facing down. Why is this? Would it make a huge diff to mount everything flat ( in my storage area under bed in RV ) .

Im considering going with 8AWG PV to SCC wires instead of 10AWG. But all of the crimping tools and MC4 connectors only go up to 10AWG. How are you'all making your 8AWG wires?

Im shopping for MC4 connectors/pairs to make custom PV wire lengths. There's a huge difference in brands/ prices. Any suggestions? Will doesnt give a reco on his website, ( just the 10AWG PV wire ) .

Thanks for the great replies. I will mount my panels then buy the crimping tool and connectors and make extensions that fit best and not worry that one series may have shorter/ longer extensions than the other.
