1 REC BMS 2 chargers. Doable?

I have a REC BMS and 2 sunny islands master slaved for 240v. I expect these will work flawlessly together based on reports here.
Is it possible to add another charge controller that will also listen to the REC?
I have 2 extra 415w panels in the array. Thinking of hooking these to a midnite classic or similar to pick up the extra 800watts.
Any thoughts?

Multiple charging sources generally is not an issue. Even if there is no communication the midnight programming should be able to utilize the 800w solar. Maybe not perfectly efficient but should still have a significant contribution.

I use an outback flexmax in conjunction with my REC/SMA system.

It doesn’t communicate at all - i just set the charge points slightly below the REC.

(the REC does have the ability to disconnect the PV from the flexmax, as well as the battery)
