I am looking at buying the AC300 and the 2 B300 batteries for a small cabin and I have a portable AC there now which uses 1150 watts when running (WAY TOO MANY). Everything I have watched/read by Will says that will not work well so I was looking at the Mr. Cool he suggests (8,000BTU's) but I was going to do the 12,000 BTU as the cabin is very small at 12ft x 20ft but it does have a loft so I am guessing 400-500 sq. ft. However, after reading some comments on this forum, people are suggesting the 18,000 BTU unit is more efficient than the 12,000 unit for some reason but will the AC300 run that being it says it is 208-230V,60Hz? The 12,000 BTU unit is 115V,60Hz. Do I need a different outlet for the 18,000 BTU unit? Sorry, this is all over my head.

Thanks!

The 12k DIY Mr Cool actually has a higher SEER rating than the 18k. 22 vs 20 SEER.

Would I be able to run the 18k with the AC300 and 2 batteries and 2400 watts of panels? Or am I better off going with the LV6048? In other words, doesn't the 18,000 BTU model require 220? I don't think the AC 300 can do that unless I pair two of them together which I'm not going to do. Or do I go with the 12,000 BTU being that's all I really need?
