Anyone has purchased these Wulills 200AH 24v LiFePo4 batteries ?

I bought the Wulills 200a with a bms of 150a this summer and it arrived in only 4 days, they have a warehouse in canada, i was curious to see if it had the advertised capacity, i put a load of 50a measured with the smart shunt from Victron and the result was a little disappointing just 165a, I repeated the test a few times and the results were between 165 and 172.

I contacted the seller and he asked me to make a video of my tests and each time I sent him proof that the capacity was only 170a he asked me for another test or answered me no anything like a load of 50a was too high, that I had to put max 20-30a I replied that the battery had a bms of 150a? and he no longer answered me.

I opened a dispute to get refund and return it at their expense and they did not want it, I finally accepted a discount proportional to the difference in power, the process was long and complicated but I finally got my discount .

After all this process I realized that the warranty is a joke, so I decided to open it to see the components and the quality of construction, the bms is 250a and not 150a, the bus bars are too small for 150a 1/16'' x 1/2'' there is a loss of voltage 0.5v at 120a, the bms is only stuck between 2 pieces of foam and could move over time, these are prismatic cells which are 2 years old (2020).

despite all this given the low price paid I am satisfied for now, we will see over time

Thanks for sharing. Those stickers look like the mAh measured capacity of the cells, just before assembly. So the date 2020 on them could be assembly date only, while the cells themselves could still be older.

Looks like they measured 59,5 Ah on average per cell, so no wonder you are measuring less than 178 Ah. I assume you have a 4S3P configuration like seen in the post earlier, just in a different arrangement in the metal box?

In one of their spec sheets they mention a nominal discharge current of 0.2C which would be 40 A in your case for the 200 Ah.

Hi, Experienced similar lower Amp capacities than advertised in both my 2 x 200 amp batteries. Believe these batteries are built using USED grade A cells. Based on these lower capacity testing results , contacted Aliexpress for a refund , but found I was going nowhere, as the process is biased in favour of merchant, and was being complicated by numerous unnecessary requests, even after posting actual detailed photos of all 4 tests using a Torch Brand Capacity tester. Contacted Wulills Store direct and was able to receive a refund commensurate with the difference in tested actual capacity and the batteries advertised rated capacity. Time will tell if we are going to achieve any where near the cycles their claiming, Have been communicating with Wulills Store since July 22 for a copy of their Warranty manual , with no success. Last reply was" It's now ready ". that was 2 weeks ago. Will post if received.

yes it is 4s3p configuration and as you mentioned it seems logical that what is written on the stickers is mah, the continuous discharge current of the model I bought is 150a, 0.2C it's the nominal capacity and with lithium batteries the power has which the battery is discharged does not influence the capacity unlike the acid battery

buying on Aliexpress is like playing the lottery, we rarely win and you are right Aliexpress protects sellers, it is not normal that we have to paying the shipping costs for a defective item and I think AliExpress filters the comments because it’s not normal that this merchant and this battery are so well rated

You make a mistake .. the capacity is given for 0.2C discharge rate : 200*0.2 = 40A.

That battery pictured above with the pouch cells is the 12V 200AH-T,CN. Wulills seem to change model numbers and spec at random. If your buying one, ask before you buy, if it's 4s1p (if your hoping for 4x 200ah Prismatic cells) otherwise it's a crap shoot what format will be inside. Have to say though, the batteries do seem to be very well (and neatly) put together, especially at the price point.

I asked the seller what are the inside of the 12V 200Ah on this page : https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003744817787.html

That's what he sent me ... can someone say tyo me what are those ... terminals .. !! They look very suspicious, like they would come from an other application, those busbars are connected to something that seems welded to the terminal ...

I'm starting to think they sell used cells on some models, maybe the reason why some cells are advertised as "New Grade A cells" while others are not advertised as .. new...

ordered the 48V / 120aH rack battery two weeks ago - unfortunatly before reading they are also using pouch cells.
time will tell what is inside, my hope is that with the extra cost of the server rack case + Display-BMS the small price advantage of pouch cells will not be worth it. on the other hand the battery was so dirt cheap, so who knows...

Hopefully it’ll have prismatic cells.
I have to say I’ve gotten over my disappointment on the pouch cell format, from a maintenance perspective.

I should say the battery itself has won me over. It’s performance has been excellent.
Hope yours works out well too.

KingLander: I hope so too, otherwise I have my doubts the rack battery will achieve the 6000+ cycles it is sold for. On the other hand, I have my doubts regardless of the cell type ;)

However, it is good to hear you are actually satisfied with the performance of the battery. So all in all it seems Wulillsis a bit of a lottery, but not intended scam. In this case you get what you pay for, and it has probably a legit reason the rack server battery is 2/3 of what others charge for it.
Once it arrives I'll report back.
