I have been working on a sealed battery box enclosure, with a vent to the outside.
Was going to make the box out of plywood, but the plywood/CDX prices here are currently insane.
Realized I could make the box out of Lexan for just a tiny bit more $$$ than the cost of plywood…..

48vdc fan to ventilate the box is on order.
I have not been able to get the Schneider XW+ Pro inverter’s built-in 12vdc connection to work,
have asked Schneider tech support for advice.
If Schneider can resolve the configuration/HW issue, I will install a 12vdc ventilation fan.
Otherwise, the 48vdc goes in.
One way or another, the gas and heat are going to be pushed out the vent!

The battery vendor suggested a watering system from “Flo-rite”, so I also installed that too.

Looking good. I don't know how I missed this weeks ago.

Did you source the lexan locally or order it online?

The local Home Depot had a piece in stock, lucky!

Found a 12vdc fan @ Mouser that had good CFM on only 250 mills of current.
The hard part for me was trying to decipher the Schneider AUX configuration software.
The manual was not clear (to me) how to turn the fan on, so I just tried random configurations until it worked.

Now there is good air flow through the box, thus avoiding any gas accumulation.
The building where the equipment is installed has AC, running off the Schneider system.
I have been following your description of outdoor heat issues, amazing.
Hope it cools off soon!
