was building a 4 cell 12V and a 8 cell 12V pack for my Dad's needs was wondering if anyone has found some novel or genius solutions for a container?

I did a 8 cell pack for my needs and used a brown ammo crate but it was just an OK fit for the price.

I'm trying to find the pictures but got to go digging in i-cloud since my new phone didn't transfer anything...

If you go to AliBaba and search, you’ll see some 4S for sale for a reasonable price.

These 4S are for sale stateside, but at about three times the cost:

I have had no luck finding a 8S case for a 280 ah cell. That would be at least 2’ wide and weigh 100 LBS when loaded.

Found a milk crate that's about half again bigger than normal.

It fits 8 cells nicely with 1-2" all the way around, actually wish it was just slightly smaller as now its more room than needed for a BMS.

Now trying to figure best way to stack 4s2p cells.

Pictures wold be nice of it built. Link would be good too.

“Denwa” means one in Japanese.

trying to figure out how to upload photos. something is wrong, keep getting error that file is NOT an image?

JPG format works. I got that error once when I was trying an odd type of picture. Can’t remember what the odd type was.

tried that too. is there a size limit? these are 2.1 and 2.2MB

I can’t remember why I got that error. I think the computer I was using was too old and had the work security system on it. As in 8 years old.

OK, there's probably your issue. You'll need to resize the photos to be a lot smaller. If you're running Windows, open the picture in MSPaint. On the Home tab is a button for Resize. Click the dot for Pixels and set your largest number there to 1024. Paint will auto-adjust the other number. Close and save as a JPEG. That should do the trick and still leave a plenty high enough resolution for a web forum.

If you have a Mac, go buy a real PC. :ROFLMAO: (Sorry, nerd humor there.)

When I built my first 4 cell 12v 280ah battery I wanted it mainly for my stacker trailer for running lights and winches but I also wanted it portable so I could use it on the Jeep to power a 12v Iceco cooler and use to jump vehicles if needed. I ended up using a Milwaukee Packout box which worked out great. It was a snug fit but basically built an insert that sets in the box and when the lid is shut, locks it in place. It took a while to get the base plate shaped just right to fit the bottom of the box, but it fits nice and snug. I used an Anderson plug mounted on top to quickly disconnect and remove from the trailer and also made up a set of jumper cables than plug into the Andersen plug. For convenience, I also added a dual USB outlet, 12v power port with an off/on switch. Worked out great.
