Hi all!

I have a 24v system with four 280Ah Lifepo4 battery groups. In each group I have a 8s 100amp JBD BMS. I would like to change my system from 24v to 48v.
My question is:
1- Can I regroup my batteries while still using these BMSs.
2- If yes, how? If no, what is your suggestion.

I am going going to be using EG4s 3000EHV-48 All in one unit for this project.

Your suggestions are highly appreciated.

Thanks

Oz

What BMS exactly? If it is strictly an 8S BMS, then as others have stated, no.

Many of the new JBD BMSs are 7S-21S so can be used for a 16S BMS.

I say this because i looked pretty hard for a JBD 16S BMS and couldn't find one (with features i needs which were modest).
I had to settle for the 7S-21S which required ground 7 of the 22 leads onto one cell which i wanted to avoid.

Thank you for your response. They all are just 8s 100 amp BMS. I will have to buy new ones for each group. Any recommendation besides JBD 7s-21s?

If i had one i'd recommend over this i would have bought it.
JBD-SP21S001 V1.4 (the new black anodized model).

I have been running one (of 2 i purchased) on a test bench for a month.
One of the key features i required was ability to use XiaoXiang app (same as Overkill app).
Pretty happy so far but just on a test bench, waiting for my system to slowly get built up.
