We are making the blueprints for our new homestead layout. this is for our new home construction, on new land.

we will ground mount the PV array at the new house.

how far away from the controller can we put them?

stats:
Sol-Ark 12k dual MPPT controller
MPPT 1: 18 Mission solar 345w panels 9S2P
MPPT 2: 8 Qcell g4 305w panels in series

on our current setup we use 10AWG cable on a roof mount array. so length of run is not a big issue. also, our current array is only 8 qcell 305w panels in series.

at the new homestead, we are trying to put the array in a place that is not constantly in view of a window, and maybe on the opposite side of our windbreak.

our winbreak is going to be a small orchard of various fruit trees. it will probably be 100 to 150 feet to the south of our house, on the garage side of the home, where the charge controller and batteries are mounted.

How far can we run 10AWG solar cable from PV to controller before voltage drop becomes an issue.

is 10AWG Still sufficient? do we need to upgrade for the new system?
