Can an Axpert MAX 8kW be configured to clean the AC power from a generator?

When the grid is being used to charge the batteries and provide power to the house, there is this "bypass" icon shown, the power from the generator goes directly to the house. My generator is quite old, the power it produces isn't that clean. Is there a way to make it first go into the AC to DC circuit and charge the batteries while using the DC to AC circuit to provide power to the house, making the power cleaner?

No. There are not two separate circuits. There is one circuit... DC to AC when inverting and AC to DC when charging.

Inverter/chargers can do both, but only one at a time. They use the same circuitry but in opposite directions.

When AC input is supplied, it is passed through to loads and then surplus AC is used to charge the battery.

In order to accomplish what you want, you need to provide a separate AC-DC circuit, i.e., a charger powered by the generator. A popular choice in the U.S. is the EG4 Chargeverter for 48V systems and can charge @ 100A. Not sure if it works with 50Hz power.
