After searching the net, I am hoping someone here has an answer. I have a solar edge se6000h -us inverter installed by sunrun. I would like to connect a back up battery just to run my 1hp 220v well pump in a power outage. I don't really want Sunruns $9000 battery just for this. Is it possible to hook up a agm battery for this need? Thanks

You need a 6kW inverter capable of being AC coupled with frequency shifting. By the time you're done with a custom solution, that Sunrun solution might not be so outlandish (especially if installation is included) as the Sunrun solution likely includes the same components packaged together.

People don't install battery backup with GT systems because the cost increases dramatically. There isn't a cheap solution.

Myself I'd get a generator. Your well has a pressure tank so you don't instantly lose water pressure so plenty of time to hookup a generator. Doesn't sound like you have anything critical where time is of the essence to get powered.
