Could I outperform a Bluetti Ac100 for the same price with a DIY setup? If so, how?

I just ordered a Bluetti AC100 for Christmas. I’d like to know if I spent the same amount of money, around $800, could I get a better system by building it myself? What specifically would be better?

I understand I can upgrade a system more easily if it’s DIY. But what about specific features? Maybe higher wattage inverter? What else?

Components:

DIY 12V LFP battery+ BMS, 3.6kWh: $550 (3.6X the AC100)
2kW PSW: $270 (over 3X the AC100)
40A SCC (520W peak): $170 (over 3X the solar of AC100)
10A 12V battery charger: $50 (1.2X the AC100)
350A shunt/battery monitor: $45

$1085 component cost for something that performs over 3X better by every measure except for AC charging, and that's a little better. This essentially outperforms the AC200 as well with the exception of solar power input.

There would probably be another $100 in wiring, fusing, breakers, etc. Your choice of "container" would influence it as well.

Will has some DIY solar generators on his site.

I'm waiting for china to build a bare PCB that is the guts of one of these units. That allows the DIY community to build their own enclosure, battery etc.
