Did I buy the wrong amperage for my controller

I have one 100W flexible solar panel like this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32895636796.html
When I ordered a controller for it, I thought "Let's take the biggest amperage, so it will be ready if I add more panels in the future".
So, I ordered the 100A version of this controller https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001159029342.html
Will it work with just one 100W panel or do I have to take a lower amperage controller for the system to work? If that's the case, what amperage should I go for?
Thanks

Generally as a rule of thumb, one would size a PWM charger to 1.25x the short circuit current of the solar panel.

Your solar panel has a short circuit current of 5.81a which gives your charger about 74.19a of headroom, so happy days :)

What you bought will work just understand that the SCC will never handle 100a. You could have saved a few bucks of your money and bought the lower amp rated ones. It also will likely kill your battery overtime since it is a very cheap and poorly made SCC. The flexible panel at least looks from a quick glance that the 100w rating is not a fiction as so many of the flexible panels sold out there are.

So as a 1 off with no plans for expansion in the future it should work.
