So a customer has had an east and west facing array on a garage roof which is joined onto the house, 6 panels per roof facing, each on their own string going back to the Solis inverter.
He has had optimisers placed on the panels closer to the house on both sides as they get shaded a little by the house standing taller than the garage.
He hasn’t been producing as much solar as he would have liked, obviously being a east facing it’s 20% less than a south, and a west only takes the sun in the later times of the day, but at the moment with it getting dark earlier it’s probably not doing a lot.
Question is, does this set up sound OK if the 2 strings are on their own individual MPPT tracker? 6 panels on each roof, separate strings, and a few optimisers on the parts being shaded by the house..
