Eg4 Lifepower Battery firmware updater

Hi All,
Just wanted to report that I went on the Signature Solar site and ordered the eg4 battery firmware updater which was free after a coupon code. I used it today and had all 4 of my batteries updated in less than 10mins, it runs about a minute each, but I watched a how to video again. You can use it for future updates I believe so it’s a great tool to have. About the only drawback i see is you can’t read what the update version is without hooking up a computer. This is down and Dirity. Thanks Signature Solar. now I only wish it was this way to update my Growatt 5k. lol

The firmware updater tool is a good tool as it eliminates the need for a special communications cable to a computer but is limited to updating to v3.37 as you cannot update the tool with later firmware.
With the proper cable you can still update LifePower4 battery firmware with the BMS_Test software.

EG4 has an automatic updater dongle that has the latest firmware (3.37) for the Lifepower4 batteries.
This allows you to update the firmware on your lifepower4 batteries without having to use a laptop.
