Bought a lithium battery pack 15kw 48…

Bought a lithium battery pack 15kw 48 v. Have had it catch fire and blow multiple fuses. The warranty program is terrible they ask for pictures and videos of all my equipment and temperature controls on the solar room. Once you prove you have done everything right over a 2 month period. They promise they will replace it under warranty. But they find any loop hole in your system to deny your warranty claim. They deny it in the end and do not honor their warranty or the promise that they will replace the battery unless I agree to buy a second battery and a extra fee. What a SCAM. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. BUYER BE WARE.
Date of experience: October 12, 2022

Hello, I sniffed the data from my 4 packs today and wondering if anyone can make sense of it....I know nothing about programming etc
ATM I can read the data via RS485 to their own EDMS software but had no luck with Sol-ark or Solar Assistant.

Well i got 2 of the 48v 300ah version on the wheels model LPBF48300,
what can i say.... This company and its sellers are not honest with their claims.
- First of all the claimed 300ah capacity is not true
- Secondly grade A cells, 6000 cycles is also not true.
- 3rd they claim 200A max charge and discharge, with recommended 120A
> I pulled 277ah or 13.2kwh. discharged till 48v or 0%. The second battery did a little better at 278
> Cells absolutely do not look new, i see so much scuffing on them, while they have 276 277 written on them (i assume it means capacity/ range)
> Bms is 100A rated, fuse 250A, and breaker 125Ax2 ganged up

I opened the case up because a balance wire got snapped during shipping. The bms wire running for the front battery terminals was on the side support brace,
they could've done this much better.
I contacted the seller and she does like she knows nothing. She says that the numbering on the batteries are the batch numbers, which could be true (if they tested at that capacity)
Please see attached pictures.
Overall i am disappointed and a little furious.

No refund. They sent me the replacement part to fix one of the batteries that did not work. They tried to convince me that the pack was 10kwh if I charged all the way to 59V, which is not safe and the bms will not allow to go so high anyways. But apart from lack of honesty, for me 170ah was a good deal for the price I paid anyways.
That's bullshit, there is near no Ah over 55V (appart if their chemistry is different)

Wow. I paid about $2,500 for each battery including all shiping and customs fees to Puerto Rico. I bought by sending a whatsapp message through the Felicity Solar website, then I was forwarded to Cecilia Wu from Felicity who sent me an offer through Alibaba. Maybe mine are different to yours because with these people are full of unkowns. Would like to know how yours do!
How did it work with customs? I am exploring options to ship from China, but want to avoid getting hit up for additional fees. Solar sales are exempt from sales tax in PR, but not sure if the port will hit me with a import tax or other.

The Victron smart shunt gave me a total draw of 7kwh at 20%, as expected from a 8.8kwh battery. So the conclusion about the capacity issue is that these LPBF48200 batteries are NOT 200ah, NOT 10kwh, they are 172ah = 8.8kwh.

Attach screenshot with parameters for the victron smart shunt with these lifepo4 batteries. Lead acid would be different.

FYI, im having more issues with the battery that works. The other day a high cell voltage fault came on, but the whole battery was at 53V, then the high cell voltage fault went away randomly but the SOC indicator light was at 25% when It was really around 90% at 53.something volts. I disconnected the negative cable going from the cells to the bms and discharged the battety down to 25% with my inverter without the bms being connected (with a small 160watt load). I reconnected the bms, to "synch" it back, and charged back up to 55.2 volts and the SOC lights catched up again showing 100% SOC. God knows what unbalancing issues this might bring.

Still waiting the replacement bms and temp. Cables for the battery that is not working.

The BMS they use seems to be very defective. I even ordered two overkill solar 16S 100amp bms as spare parts because I don't have much faith these will work for long. At least it seems possible to replace the BMS. Replacing the balance leads will be difficult, though, because they are not bolted, they are welded. I guess if the day comes, I will cut, strip, and crimp the original balance leads to the ones in the overkill bms (in the correct order, wich takes patience measuring continuity for each lead at the connector which is different than the overkill solar bms)

I hope you don't have any issues with yours. This has been very stressful for me as a newbie, but for the price ($284/kwh), relative to other options in Puerto Rico, I can't complain much...
This is felicity overselling here. A 272whrs is equivalent to approx. 8.8 kwhrs battery on 16s 2p configuration. The price is too good to be true. I have 230AH rated battery from DOCAN via a Madam Daissy. a full capacity test came to 12.29 kwhrs cuttoff at 40V. All cells tested over 240AH.

FYI an Australian company out of Melbourne: https://greenbanks.com.au/batteries/ sells Felicity batteries rebranded as their own, sold me a 12.5kwh battery and it tests to 8.4kwh (45v to 57.6v) I used Victron gear and verified with high quality battery lab testing equipment to get the numbers.
They promised me it was 16S CATL 250ah cells.
They told me it would only have a useable capacity of 10kwh because they cut the discharge at a magic voltage to preserve the health of the cells....
When I open the battery I am sure I will find they are either not 250ah cells or they are old 250ah cells.
I will be taking action as I have all the screenshots and emails of false statements and advertising.
Aussies beware of Green bank in Truganina/Melbourne.
Hi Bruce, have you had a look any further into you setup, my battery bank LB48250 is very similar in numbers , and shows a 60%SOH after 270 cycles,

Does any one know why I can't read every cell parameters for 12.5 kw felicity batteris, I only able to reade voltage as total 51v
Im using 5kw Deye inverter
EDMS software worked for me on the LB48250
