I will be using (4) 12v lead acid 120AH deep cycle batteries in Series for 48volts.
This will feed my 1600 watt, 2200 VA, Online UPS.
I am trying to size the correct wire and the fuse or breaker to protect the wire.

I am planning to use #6 THHN wire (5ft positive and negative leads from the batteries to the UPS) https://www.homedepot.com/p/Southwire-15-ft-6-Black-Stranded-CU-SIMpull-THHN-Wire-20493360/301962287

This page says for a 3k inverter that #8 should be enough, so I feel pretty safe with #6 : https://wagan.com/blogs/news/customer-question-what-cables-do-i-need-for-my-power-inverter

Now I just need to figure out what fuse to use?

The stock wires in the UPS appear to be either #8 or #10 gauge, less than 2ft in length. (measures 5mm including the wire insulation)

I appreciate anyone that takes the time to read this, Thank You!

EDIT:

I am currently looking at BK-AMX-80 fuse, this should protect #6 especially with how short the leads are...
It does not specifically call it a midi fuse, but the spacing appears to be 30mm on center for the AMX fuse (AMXL is 35mm).

So it seems a midi bolt down fuse holder should be the correct size...

seems the cheaper ones get hot... my system is 48v instead of 12v, so my understanding is that it should get less hot for the amount of amps/watts this UPS will use.
