How to prevent a Grundfos SQF 0,6-2 from cycling on/off too often

Hello,

I have an installation with the following components:

Grundfos SQF 0,6-2
CU200 control panel + float switch
250W solar panels

I notice that on cloudy days, with clouds moving past the sun frequently, the panels often drop below the required voltage and the pumps shut off only for it to start up again when the clouds pass. This can happen often within a 10 minute time period.

Now I'm worried about the pump cycling on/off to frequently.

The electrode that protects the pump from running dry has a built-in mechanism that prevents the pump from cycling on/off more than 15 times per hour, as it mentions in the documentation delivered with the pump.

The lack and re-appearance of electricity however does not abide by this limit as it cycles on/off continuously.

Can anyone help me figure out what to do? Can I built such a timer mechanism myself? Or should I not worry at all?

Your support means the world!

IMHO, this is a non-issue. The SQ pumps are soft start and regular starts are not stressful.

Furthermore, these are often used as on-demand pumps in conjunction with a pressure tank, but they may still cycle on and off in a similar timeframe.
