is it ok to leave your charge contoller on when battery is not in use i have a epever tracer 4215BN i would think my flooded lead acid battery will charge to much is there away to put it on idle...

There are options.
Profile voltages & timings.
Providing a 24/7 load that drains during the dark hours. This will keep the electrolyte a bit agitated.
Disconnect the panels & re-connect for a day or two monthly.
 
I’m guessing you could set a lower float charge voltage on your CC mt50 meter (13.2-13.4v) to just maintain
The battery and prevent any normal idle self discharging. Shouldn’t over
Charge, it would just maintain your battery like the battery tenders do.

yea that what i'm thinking just was wondering if there another way so i don't have to unhook all my wires--- i don't have no disconnects yet just fuses and maybe i can try what --MrNatural22 said....
 
yea they good but i have 8awg wire form CC to my solar panel..
