I thought I had sussed this out, it's up to its old tricks. Randomly set state of charge based on voltage (presumably) to 60 % yesterday or the day before. When it was actually 90-100%
Firmware needs big improvements -
1) some indication when it has estimated Soc "in the middle"
2) ability to input state of charge
3) ability to switch off estimation by voltage
I don't suppose anyone knows of a firmware update or any insight into whether the JBD BMS are the same. They seem to be identical.
