Didn't find this info anywhere in the manual or on the forum, so I reached out to MPP directly, and am posting their response for others to find.
Official LV2424 surge rating is 2x normal output for 5 seconds.
The customer service person who emailed me back stressed that this was done in a lab, with a resistance load only, won't apply to inductive loads, and shouldn't be used for sizing a system.
