I have just installed a second 40 amp MPPT charge controller and 2 X 200 watt panels bringing our total solar capacity to 820 watts (400 watts to 1 controller and 420 watts to the second controller) all hooked up in parallel. These are feeding 2 X 200 amp/h lithium batteries. I have also installed a 2000 watt Victron inverter charger.
Today is raining with thick cloud cover so we are getting around 7 amps into the batteries.

Looks really good, well done!

What type of breakers did you use? specifically the smaller ones closer to the SCCs?

Hi, they are 30 amp DC circuit breakers designed for car audio. I use them so I am able to isolate the power from the solar panels if I need to.

That looks like a Quality system install.
Even under worst weather with 7 Amps of charge, you should be able to get half a Kw.
Enough to light up van for the night!!!

Question to you - what kind of lightening arrestors / grounding circuits do RV owner use in general?
